Description

These membranes guarantee perfect biocompatibility and tolerance. They are easy to apply on a defect site because they can easily be contoured and cut, to perfectly adapt them to the defect area with the finished edges in contact with the residual healthy bone ridge on which the membrane is stabilized, thanks to the use of titanium screws. They are non-absorbable but can be left on the site even for extended periods. They should be removed after the bone regeneration period, generally of 6-8 months.

Titanium membranes exactly define the area that needs to be regenerated and serve for containment of graft materials. Their micro-perforated structure permits the passage of body fluids, ensuring maintenance over time between clot and flap.

Finally, it is essential to perfectly suture the mucosal flaps so as to completely cover the membranes. This is important in order to prevent dehiscence of the membrane and consequent failure.

T-BARRIER TITANIUM MEMBRANE RANGE

Three different lines of T-Barrier titanium membrane are available.

T-Barrier Grids are micro-perforated membranes, with Ø 0.8 mm holes, made from pure 2 g medical titanium,  available in the following shapes and sizes: 24x 29x Ø 0.13 mm. Recommended for treatment of all cases of guided bone regeneration, especially when subsequent intraosseous implant rehabilitation is envisaged. They can be used on both the upper and lower dental arches of patients with bone defects that limit or prevent the possibility of implantology treatment. They are placed on the ridge of the site and are stabilized using osteosynthesis screws. The grids are of two types: one is simply micro-perforated and fixed with osteosynthesis screws, while a newer version, in addition to  micro-perforation, also has a large central hole that requires the use of a locking screw, included in the package, which is screwed into the implant. However, this membrane can also be stabilized using osteosynthesis screws.

Safety Implant Membranes, also called SIMs and DOLL MEMBRANES are truly innovative, not requiring any lateral osteosynthesis screws fixed directly into the bone. They are used to stabilize an implant and prevent it migrating into the maxillary sinus. These membranes are fixed to the implant using a special locking screw contained in the package. SIMs are used in particular in cases of sinus lift positioned on the bone crest. Doll Membranes are used to contain and maintain graft material in the correct shape and volume.
